I have been attending drum lessons with Susan since January 2025. I had wanted to learn drums for many years but never plucked up the courage to do it. When I eventually did (at age 27) I couldn’t have felt more at ease with Susan and now 10 months later I have no regrets and do never plan on stopping. Every session is really supportive, engaging and fun. I always leave feeling so upbeat (literally). Susan is incredible to learn from and really empowers you to do your best. I’m actually amazed at the progress I feel I’ve made in this short time and that’s all down to Susan’s tuition. Couldn’t recommend her enough to students of ALL ages! Cassie
My child has been going to Susan for a while now and really enjoys the lessons. She helped to prepare for Nat 5 and Higher exams and is currently helping with Advanced Higher. Susan is a lovely soul and you can tell she really wants the best for her students, even organising an event where they will get to play in a studio environment with a band. I've been going to lessons with Susan for over a year now, and my drumming has significantly improved. I was previously sitting at a grade 3 level, but after lessons with Susan, I'm at a grade 5/6. She's helped me through my exam pieces as well as taught me new skills and techniques whilst working up grades at a pace I'm comfortable with. I passed my higher practical drum exam with full marks because of our lessons. She's easy to get a long with and is such a caring teacher. Working with her has definitely improved my confidence in drums and I look forward to improving even more!

My 12 year old son has been playing drums with Susan for about 4 weeks now and every week he comes out buzzing, playing his sticks on my dashboard all the way home, impatient for the next lesson!! Susan has made him feel totally relaxed from the very start which is the perfect environment for him to learn, yet she manages to get more out of him every week! I am amazed at what he can now play at home!!! Totally recommend Granite City Music Tuition!

I was nervous going to a private house to receive lessons, but I was welcomed the minute I was there. She gives clear instructions on what to do, even going the mile to give me indicators on what I'm meant to be playing then. I've never thought I was then rushed to act on it even with the limited time, since she's patient with me on how much I need to process the notes. It's a positive experience.
